Martinet Bru 1993

Varieties: Garnatxa, Carinyena, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet.

1993 was the first of two years of great drought in Priorat. The strains grew well due to the water reserves accumulated during the previous autumn, but in summer… the high temperatures and the absence of rain caused a very significant water stress leading the plant to a premature fall of leaves, which in many times it was irreversible: the quality and quantity of production were reduced.

At Mas Martinet we compensate for the drought with support irrigation, resulting in a high quality vintage. The vines kept their green leaves until the month of November.
