Clos Martinet comes exclusively each year from the plots of the Mas d’en Martinet estate, located in the Vila de Gratallops wine area. The liquorella soil and the different exposures of the vineyard give it the typical nature of the estate year after year.

Over the last few years we have been increasing the local varieties: Black Grenache, Cariñena and Peluda Garnacha because we are convinced that they are the ones that best express the typicality of the Priorat terroir. However, we continue to maintain syrah, merlot and cabernet sauvignon as a tribute to the great work done by pioneers like Josep Lluís Pérez. We work with indigenous yeasts and we have abandoned what motivated us in the beginning, the technical knowledge of grapes and wine, to give way to a dialogue with nature, on the path of showing the pure expression of the Clos Martinet estate.

A vintage marked by the high temperatures of the nights of August, which caused rapid maturation of the short cycle varieties, giving high alcoholic levels and early maturation. In mid-September the temperatures dropped and the harvest began to expand… allowing excellent ripening in the longer cycle varieties.

Without a doubt, one of the best vintages of recent years.
